Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 2026

1. Privacy First by Design

At ScreenPPI, we believe your display information and calculator inputs belong to you. All display calculations—including pixel density (PPI/DPI), physical dimensions, dot pitch, retinal viewing distance, and dual-screen comparisons—are computed 100% locally in your web browser. None of your entered dimensions or resolutions are ever transmitted to or stored on our servers.

2. Information We Access Locally

To provide the "Use my device" feature, our client-side JavaScript reads standard browser viewport properties (window.screen.width, window.screen.height, and window.devicePixelRatio). This information is processed solely in temporary browser memory and is never logged or tracked.

3. Cookies and Local Storage

ScreenPPI uses browser localStorage solely to remember your chosen theme preference (light mode or dark mode). We do not set first-party tracking cookies or save your calculator inputs to storage.

4. Third-Party Advertising and Cookies

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this website or other websites on the internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings at https://www.google.com/settings/ads or through aboutads.info.

When advertising is served, for visitors from the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom, ads are presented in compliance with Google's EU User Consent Policy using a certified consent mechanism (CMP) where applicable. You may adjust or withdraw your consent preferences at any time.

5. Server Logs and Hosting Infrastructure

Our website is delivered via edge hosting infrastructure (including Cloudflare). Standard web request logs—such as IP address, browser type, referring URL, and timestamp—may be temporarily processed for security, rate-limiting, and DDoS mitigation purposes. These operational logs are retained for no more than 90 days and are never linked to individual calculator inputs or personal identities.

6. External Links

Our website may contain links to external sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, policies, or content of these third-party websites.

7. Your Data Protection Rights

Under privacy laws such as the GDPR and CCPA/CPRA, visitors may have rights to access, rectify, or erase personal data, or to object to data processing. Because ScreenPPI does not operate user accounts, databases, or profile tracking, we do not retain your personal data or calculator inputs. For inquiries regarding site functionality or advertising preferences, you may reach out using the contact information below.

8. Children's Privacy

ScreenPPI is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Union). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can immediately delete it.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect enhancements to our tools, legal requirements, or advertising practices. Any revisions will be published directly on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the website following changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
